We have held groundbreaking ceremonies for our BESS projects in Kumamoto City, Kumamoto Prefecture, and Bibai City, Hokkaido.

We are scheduled to commence construction shortly on the BESS facilities (90MWac at the grid connection points in total) that we are developing in Kumamoto City, Kumamoto Prefecture and Bibai City in Hokkaido.

Sungrow Japan supplies the BESS system, while Shirokuma Electric Power Co., Ltd. works with us as the balance-of-plant EPC contractor. The BESS systems are scheduled to be operational in 2027.

Including these two projects, we have been awarded 13 projects in Japan’s FY2023 and FY 2025 Long-term Decarbonized Power Source Auctions. Hexa Energy Services will continue to promote renewable energy deployment and to provide critical ancillary and balancing services in Japan to achieve carbon neutrality by 2050.
