Leadership Team
Biography
Ms. Shah earned her B.A. in Economics (Environmental Economics) from Doshisha University and an MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. She began her career in 2001 at Mitsubishi Corporation, where she was consistently engaged in overseas infrastructure businesses, decarbonization projects, project management, and risk management.
Since 2015, she has served at I Squared Capital (ISQ), where she has led the growth of portfolio companies across Asia in the renewable energy, water utilities, and transportation sectors, including toll roads. She has also contributed to creating numerous investment opportunities for Japanese corporations seeking overseas expansion.
In 2023, she founded Hexa Energy Services as an ISQ portfolio company. As Executive Manager, she has been spearheading the deployment of grid-scale battery storage in Japan to accelerate the country's energy transition.
Biography
Mr. Mizuta graduated from the Faculty of Economics, the University of Tokyo, and joined Mitsubishi Corporation in 2005.
During his tenure at Mitsubishi, he was responsible for the evaluation and due diligence of corporate-wide investment and financing projects in domestic and international power businesses, including renewable energy, as well as industrial infrastructure and financial services. He also gained experience in risk management for commodity trading, including derivatives, at Mitsubishi Corporation (Americas). In addition, he held various roles in business investment management, accounting, and taxation for petrochemical businesses, and served as an audit committee member for subsidiaries and affiliates.
In 2019, he joined Pacifico Energy K.K., where he oversaw the asset management division for some of the largest solar power projects under construction and in commercial operation in Japan. He also gained hands-on experience in the operation and management of Japan's first grid-scale battery storage project. As COO, he established and managed both the power trading division and the digital transformation (DX) division. He served as CFO from 2024, became CEO in May 2025, and assumed his current position in February 2026.
Biography
Mr. Fukuda graduated from the Faculty of Law, the University of Tokyo, and obtained his LL.M. from UCLA School of Law in 2010.
He began his career in 2004 at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer, followed by Jones Day. He subsequently spent approximately 12 years at ENEOS Corporation, including secondments and through mergers, where he served as General Counsel and Head of Strategic Investments. In these roles, he promoted corporate legal affairs and M&A transactions in the energy sector.
He assumed his current position in April 2025.
Biography
Mr. Taniguchi graduated from the Faculty of Law, Kyoto University.
He began his career in 1996 at the Long-Term Credit Bank of Japan (now SBI Shinsei Bank). After working at Nomura Securities, he spent approximately 16 years in the real estate division of PAG, an alternative investment firm, where he was engaged in corporate and fund accounting and taxation.
He assumed his current position in May 2025.
Biography
Mr. Hirose earned his Master's degree from the Graduate School of Energy Science, Kyoto University.
He began his career at Sharp Corporation in 2002, where he was engaged in semiconductor design, solar power plant design, and construction management. In 2013, he joined Japan Renewable Energy Corporation, taking responsibility for solar development, design, and construction management. He later served as Head of Renewable Energy Technology at BayWa r.e. Japan.
He assumed his current position in 2024.
Biography
Mr. Vaillant graduated from Arts et Métiers ParisTech with a degree in Mechanical Engineering and from HEC Paris with a degree in Finance.
He began his career at the Paris-based boutique investment bank Messier Maris & Associés, where he worked on multiple M&A transactions in the energy and industrial sectors.
In 2017, he moved to Japan and joined PwC Japan, engaging in financial modeling and valuation for M&A transactions and greenfield projects in the energy and infrastructure sectors, including project finance.
He assumed his current position in 2024.
Biography
Mr. Kikuchi graduated from the Faculty of Engineering, the University of Tokyo.
He began his career in 2016 at Mitsubishi Corporation, where he was engaged in the management of overseas petrochemical plant investments and in the trading of commodity chemicals. He later joined Pacifico Energy, where he was responsible for the management and operation of battery storage facilities.
He assumed his current position in 2024.
Biography
Mr. Li graduated from the Faculty of Economics, Monash University in Australia.
Since 2013, he has been engaged in the development, design, and construction of various solar power projects in Japan, ranging from low-voltage to high-voltage and extra-high-voltage facilities. He has also worked in collaboration with U.S.-based funds and Korean EPC companies, successfully structuring numerous projects.
He assumed his current position in June 2024.

Director, New Business Department, Business Development Division
Taro Ikezaki
Biography
Mr. Ikezaki joined Pacifico Energy in 2015, where he was responsible for land acquisition and local consensus-building for solar power projects. He was also extensively involved in surveying and permitting work, contributing to the development of some of the largest solar power plants in Japan.
He subsequently engaged in onshore wind development at wpd Japan, where he was primarily responsible for early-stage development (including land acquisition for wind measurement and local consensus-building) and origination, and gained experience coordinating with the German headquarters.
In 2024, he joined Peak Energy Japan, where he was engaged in high-voltage solar development and served as Head of Business Development. He assumed his current position in June 2026.

Director, Commercial Department, Business Development Division
Yuko Kuwata
Biography
Ms. Kuwata graduated from the School of Political Science and Economics, Waseda University, and holds a Master's degree in International Management from the Graduate School of Business Sciences, University of Tsukuba.
She joined ITOCHU Corporation in 2009, where she was engaged in large-scale infrastructure development projects in Japan and overseas, including project structuring, negotiations with business partners, financial institutions, and government agencies, contract negotiations, project management, and debt recovery.
Since 2023, she has been engaged in business development and the structuring of renewable energy power trading agreements and grid-scale battery storage commercial contracts at the Japanese subsidiary of the UK energy major Shell and at a renewable energy development company. She assumed her current position in August 2025.

Head of Engineering Department, Project Execution Division
Shinya Hishida
Biography
Mr. Hishida completed his studies at the Graduate School of Science and Technology, Keio University in 2010 and joined TEPCO Power Grid, Incorporated (formerly Tokyo Electric Power Company). After working in the maintenance and design of distribution facilities, he gained experience in the head office's overseas investment projects and overseas consulting business.
In 2019, he was assigned to the United Kingdom, where he engaged in the development of grid-scale battery storage at Zenobe Energy. As an Engineering Manager, he was responsible for the entire process from technical assessment and basic design to grid connection review, contributing to the structuring of 1.5 GW of projects.
He assumed his current position in August 2025.

Director, Project Execution Division
Hidekazu Torigoe
Biography
Since 2012, Mr. Torigoe worked at a major Chinese solar panel manufacturer, where he was engaged in new project development and in planning sales strategies for system packages, as well as formulating business plans and budgets.
In 2017, he joined Hanwha Energy Japan Co., Ltd., where, as Head of the EPC Team, he led construction management for the structuring of large-scale domestic solar power plants, the planning of new businesses, technical consultations with relevant government authorities, and contract negotiations associated with EPC selection, gaining experience in the structuring and operation of over 200 MW of projects. He assumed his current position in August 2025.
