■Comment from the CEO of HEXA Energy Services

Northern Kumamoto Prefecture, including Arao City and Nankan Town, has a strong manufacturing base, with many companies supporting local employment and the regional economy. While recovery from the 2016 Kumamoto Earthquake continues, the region was struck again by the 2026 Kumamoto Earthquake in July this year.
We are very pleased to supply renewable electricity to Ebara Corporation’s Kumamoto Plant, which has long supported local industry in Kumamoto. Energy is an essential foundation for the sustainable operation of regional industries.
HEXA views this corporate PPA as an opportunity to support corporate decarbonization, strengthen the region’s industrial base, and contribute through energy to Kumamoto’s sustainable development, recovery, and reconstruction.

■Outlook

HEXA Energy Services and HEXA Renewables Japan will continue to support the further deployment of renewable energy and corporate decarbonization by providing corporate PPAs and other energy solutions. The companies will also prioritize dialogue and collaboration with local communities and aim to contribute to regional vitality and sustainable development through locally rooted business activities.
