HEXA Energy Services Breaks Ground on Battery Storage Project in Matsusaka

We have held a groundbreaking ceremony for our HEXA Matsusaka BESS project in Matsusaka City, Mie Prefecture, Japan.

Construction of this BESS facility (38MWac), which we are developping, is scheduled to commence shortly.

Sungrow supplies the BESS system, while Shirokuma Power Co., Ltd. works with us as the balance-of-plant EPC contractor.
The BESS system is targeted to be operational in 2027.

Including this project, we have been awarded 11 projects in Japan’s FY2023 Long-Term Decarbonized Power Source Auction. HEXA Energy Services will continue to promote renewable energy deployment and to provide critical ancillary and balancing services in Japan to achieve carbon neutrality by 2050.
