Discussing Japan’s Energy Transition through Dialogue with University of Hawai‘i Students

On June 30, 2026, Hexa Energy Services G.K. (“Hexa” or the “Company”) welcomed 15 students from the University of Hawai‘i to its office as part of the university’s “UH Asian Field Study” student program.
During the session, the students exchanged views with members of Hexa’s team on the background to Hexa’s establishment, the current status of Japan’s energy transition, and related business opportunities.
The State of Hawai‘i is advancing initiatives to achieve 100% renewable electricity by 2045 and is widely recognized as a leading example of renewable energy integration and battery storage deployment in islanded power systems. On Kaua‘i, for example, large-scale solar-plus-storage projects have been operating from an early stage, supporting the stable utilization of renewable energy.
Against this backdrop, the students demonstrated strong interest in the energy transition, renewable energy, the role of grid-scale battery energy storage systems, and business development opportunities in the Japanese market. The session provided a valuable opportunity to discuss Japan’s energy challenges from a global perspective.
For Hexa, the visit also served as a meaningful opportunity to engage with students who may become future leaders in the global energy industry, and to exchange views on the future of energy in Japan and around the world.
Hexa will continue to promote knowledge sharing on the energy transition and contribute to the development of next-generation talent through international exchange opportunities such as this.
