Mitsubachi Fellowship Exhibits at “&TOMONY,” an Event Hosted by Akita Foster Care Support Center TOMONY

Supporting the Learning and Future Pathways of Children Growing Up in Social Care Environments as Part of Hexa Energy Services’ Social Contribution and Community Coexistence Initiatives
Akita, Japan – June 13, 2026 – Mitsubachi Fellowship, a general incorporated association whose operations are supported by Hexa Energy Services G.K. as part of the company’s social contribution and community coexistence initiatives under its ESG activities, exhibited at “&TOMONY,” a foster care awareness event hosted by Akita Foster Care Support Center TOMONY. The event was held on Saturday, June 13, 2026, at Akita City Cultural Creation Center.
“&TOMONY” was held to help the public feel more familiar with Japan’s foster care system. Through stage programs and exhibition booths, the event provided visitors with an opportunity to learn about foster care and the network of support in the local community in an enjoyable and accessible way.
Mitsubachi Fellowship is a grant-based scholarship program that supports the educational advancement and learningof children growing up in children’s homes, foster families, and other social care environments. At its booth, Mitsubachi Fellowship introduced its initiatives for children in Akita Prefecture, including university scholarships and living support, learning support for junior and senior high school students aiming to enter university, and “Mitsubachi Rocket,” a social experience program designed to broaden children’s perspectives.
The booth also introduced Mitsubachi Fellowship’s goal of creating an environment in which all children can have hope for the future, learn in a safe and supportive environment, and take steps toward independence.
In addition to introducing its support activities, employees of Hexa Energy Services who participated in the event conducted the “Hexa Energy Quiz,” designed to help children learn about energy and its connection to society in an engaging way. The quiz included questions that encouraged participants to
think about how electricity is used at home and at school, Japan’s energy self-sufficiency and energy imports from overseas, the role of storage batteries, and the business activities of Hexa Energy Services. Approximately 50 participants, ranging from children to adults, took part in the quiz. Through the quiz, participants had an opportunity to learn about Japan’s energy situation, as well as the role that renewable energy and storage batteries play in society.
Following the event, Akita Foster Care Support Center TOMONY shared feedback from foster families who attended, noting that they were pleased to see “so many companies supporting foster families.” For Mitsubachi Fellowship, the event also provided a valuable opportunity to engage directly with foster families, children, and members of the local community, while raising awareness of its support programs.
Mitsubachi Fellowship will continue to work closely with Akita Foster Care Support Center TOMONY and other related organizations to support the learning and future pathways of children growing up in children’s homes, foster families, and other social care environments.
